So the sun has come up. Welcome to 2026! I hope everyone has a happy and joyous new year.
To our youth members, seize the adventure that you are embarking on. Make the most of every scouting minute. Remember, that it’s not always about badges, scouting is about having fun.
To the leaders, keep bringing joy to your role. Keep the passion and dedication going. It is your efforts that brings out the best in our youth members. And remember… scouting is about having fun, so bring the fun.
If you are an adult, but aren’t a scout or a leader… please consider joining. We need more adult helpers/volunteers. It is the efforts of volunteers that keep the movement going. Any thing that you can bring to the movement is a gift. But just remember that it is all anout fun.
Happy new year everyone. Stay scouty in 2026!

Welcome back. Our first official meeting for the year is this Friday 16th January. Can't wait to see you all.
National Challenge 2026: Be Water Safe 🌊⚜
Did you know that nearly 1500 people drown in South Africa every year? Water safety isn’t just important, it’s a life-saving skill.
In 2026, SCOUTS South Africa is taking action with the 'Be Water Safe' National Challenge! From rivers and dams to pools and the ocean, Scouting members will learn how to stay safe, build confidence around water, and respond responsibly in emergencies.
This challenge supports the global Scouts for SDGs initiative, helping children and young adults make a real difference by promoting good health, quality education, and safer communities while having fun and learning skills that last a lifetime.
🌍 Be Prepared. Be Ready for Life. Be Water Safe.
