Well done to the scouts, scouters and parents who made KonTiki 2018 a very successful event for our group. 1st Kengray placed first overall – to say this is an awesome achievement is an understatement and doesn’t do justice to the hard work and dedication put in by everyone involved.
KonTiki is the largest annual scouting event in South Africa and to win it is no mean task – it sees troops from around Gauteng building rafts and campsites and competing with one another for the coveted title of overall winner. Huge congratulations go to everyone involved and especially to Jonathan Diesel, the raft captain, and Chris Park, the supporters patrol leader, who, together with our scouters, led the troop to victory. 1st Kengray goes from strength to strength and we are very excited to see what else we can achieve in the future.
